HEALTH CARE

Horizon Healthcare solution incorporates both Freight Forwarding and Logistics services to capitalise on the global movement’s requirements and visibility requirements for larger and complex global supply chains.

Standard and specialist transportation solutions are provided where temperature controls are needed and a dust free warehousing and temperature controlled solution is maintained in an environment of pick and pack and general inventory management.

Time critical solutions are managed and applied for sensitive and urgent consignments that may incorporate expedited customs solutions, hand carry services and small parcel services and detailed planning.

Where products are larger and require specialist handling services Horizon deploy specially trained driver crews to place products at their final location and removal all packaging material from site.

Carrier management and space reliability are closely managed to ensure reliable uplift for both Air and Ocean movements.

RETAIL & FMCG

In large volume and complex supply chains where forecasting and planning can sometimes be complex, cost control and flexibility of service and visibility are critical to facilitate in time store availability.

Within a Retail supply chain visibility is essential; Horizon provides this through a sophisticated and mile stone driven systems solution. The system enables customers to manage purchase order status and progression, in transit visibility and inventory. The functionality enables these elements to be viewed and managed in a generic format through all stages ensuring optimum visibility.

The systems facilitates tracking and inventory management by Purchase Order, Unique Supplier Code, Model or Serial Number, Store Location, Customer and can further be designed to meet the customer’s requirements. KPI Reporting and exception reporting tools are also incorporated into the system to enable our customers to concentrate on the key issues within their supply chain.

Eradicating cost is also an essential element and therefore Horizon support customers through initiatives such as Consolidation at origin (Vendor Management), bundling deliveries from different suppliers to a single customer, optimisation of containers, minimising LCL shipments and providing status reports are all key to the services provided.
