To assist with post no-deal Brexit preparations, we have produced a guide, which outlines the various customs procedures, documentation requirements and processes which will apply from 11pm on 31st October, in the event of a No-Deal departure.
As with all supply chain / forwarding information it contains a number of acronyms, hence an acronym key has been included.
A large portion of the requirements will be managed by your freight forwarder or haulier, however as the importer or exporter of goods, ultimately you will be responsible and liable for any non-compliance, so it is important to be aware of the complexities and procedures through which your consignments will be managed.
Note – Germany has been used to illustrate the processes a seller/buyer from an EU member state will be required to follow when goods are transiting to/from the UK across multiple customs territories. The same would apply for other EU member states (other than France).
We very much hope that the information proves to clear and helpful.
If you should require any additional information to assist with your Brexit supply chain preparations, please contact us to speak with one of our experts.
Alternatively, Horizon’s Vice President, Supply Chain Development, Richard Perriman will be presenting at a number of events hosted by Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce during October (see link – https://www.thamesvalleychamber.co.uk/event/) and also appearing on a Webinar (details to follow).
